Working at Compass

Why choose Compass?

One of Compass School Southwark’s key areas of focus is “Team”. Alongside academic excellence, enrichment, and community, we believe that developing and supporting our staff and working as a team will help us to ensure that we achieve our aims. The Principal and Governing Body are always looking for outstanding people to join our ever growing staff team, as we build on what has been achieved so far and as we begin to think towards the future, developing our programme of study for Key Stage 4 and laying the foundations for the opening of our sixth form.

High expectations for all

This is a unique opportunity in a challenging, urban environment to help grow and develop this new school, inspiring our pupils to fulfil their potential. Our philosophy is simple: to have extremely high expectations of our pupils, of ourselves, and of what we can achieve. We are extremely passionate about ensuring that our students meet the challenging targets that we set for them, and we strive to be outstanding and innovative practitioners ourselves. Will you join us in reaching our aspirations?

An opportunity to grow and lead

Successful candidates will have relevant experience, the drive and enthusiasm to go “above and beyond” in all areas of school life to ensure that students and the school exceeds expectations, and the flexibility to fit in with a small but growing team. As the school is still small, applicants must demonstrate that they are outstanding practitioners ready to take on a high profile role in the school. All teachers are expected to contribute fully in school life, and for the right candidates there may be opportunities for additional whole-school leadership responsibilities and rapid progression to leadership positions.

If you share our values, and are excited by the prospect of making a real contribution to a new and growing school, we want to hear from you.
