Relating was created to ensure that Compass students are able to confidently reach the destination to which they aspire. In modern Britain it is not just enough to have good academic qualifications, students must be equipped with skills, values and experiences that will allow them to compete in a global community.
During the one hour weekly Relating lesson, students cover a wide range of topics that allow them to relate to people, places, the past and possibilities. They will learn about themselves and their community as well as different cultures, different communities and all of their possible future pathways.
In addition to the weekly Relating lesson, there are one off events to allow experts to deliver many aspects of the traditional PSHE curriculum.
