Once your child has been offered a place at Compass School Southwark, we start the primary transition process to ensure that your child has a smooth start at secondary school.

We are delighted that you have chosen Compass School and can’t wait to get to know you and your family. There will be lots of opportunities for us to meet before September so you will have every chance to get to know more about your new school and the exciting future ahead!

Our commitment at Compass School, is that ‘everyone in the Compass School community will confidently reach the destination to which they aspire’, with this at the forefront of everything we do at the school. This is underpinned by our four core values of Aspiration, Integrity, Exploration and Resilience. When you join Compass you will be taught by teachers who will have high expectations of all you do through challenging and motivating lessons; be offered a wide, enriched curriculum all within a safe and inclusive environment underpinned by a strong sense of community.

Staff from Compass will meet with you and your parents and will be talking to your primary school teachers over the next few months to find out more about your hopes and dreams for the future, your progress at primary school and your learning needs. In addition to this, and so that we can start to find out a little bit more about you, please can you complete our quick questionnaire and e-mail it to transition@compass-schools.com. When you are filling in the questionnaire, be sure to tell us about subjects you enjoy, and even those you’re not so keen on, so that we can best plan your transition to Compass School.

At Compass we want you to try your hardest and aspire to be the best you can be. We want your life to be enriched by the wealth of opportunities we have available to you within our school curriculum and to take advantages of these. Through developing resilience and integrity, you will learn what it is like to become part of the Compass School community developing the skills and personal attributes you need to be a success in whatever your future holds.
